Challenge yourself and organise a fundraiser today

A challenge can vary from person to person and will be different depending on who you are. Below are some typical challenges that people normally fundraise for, but this isn’t an exhaustive list:

Running Challenges – these can come in all shapes and sizes. Whether it is a couch to 5K or a marathon, whatever goal you think you can achieve you can set for yourself. This is a great opportunity for you to push yourself while raising funds for a good cause along the way!

Cycling Challenges – This is one that you could get creative with. You could cycle from London to Paris, do a mountain cycle, or do a triathlon. Check out Keith’s Fundraising story to see how he got creative with a cycling fundraiser.

24-Hour Challenges – An easy way to challenge yourself is by doing something you are good at but for 24 hours straight. Whether it be a sport, or something else creative like painting or knitting, doing something for 24 hours is challenging for anyone.

Non-Physical Challenges – Crafting, baking, or running an event can be a great way to use your passion to fundraise. You could also step out of your comfort zone and give something up or dedicate yourself to doing something for a year.

Team Challenges – If you don’t want to fundraise by yourself, you could fundraise as a team and work on something together. This could be simple events, like a raffle or a fancy-dress day at work, or more complex challenges, like climbing a mountain or doing the Tough Mudder challenge!

Adventures – These are challenges for any adrenaline junkies out there. You could do a skydive, a bungee jump, a fire walk, or even abseil the Spinnaker Tower. Whatever adventure you want to do, we’ll be here to support you along the way.

Whatever idea you have, we want to hear from you!

Please note, the University of Southampton does not accept liability for personal challenges or any adventures. Please make sure you have planned your activity sufficiently and are protecting your own health and safety during your challenge or adventure.
